July 2022 to present – Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs

Field Collector – Working in the Field Collections Team, which is part of HMRC Debt Management whose core purpose is to collect money to fund UK public services. My role involves the pursuit and collection of overdue Taxes and Returns, information gathering visits and other ad hoc work which is undertaken by visiting customer premises. Operating Taking Control of Goods as the enforcement action for debt resolution.

March 2020 – present - Her Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service

Contract Support Officer (Higher Executive Officer)

Accountable to a designated Senior Contract Manager the Contract Support Hub supporting efficient and effective Education contract management within the team. 

Ensuring the efficient and contractually compliant delivery of the education contracts including; Prison Education Framework (PEF), Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), Common Awarding Organisations (CAO) and Libraries within their respective geographical region. Working collaboratively with other key stakeholders in the delivery process. The job sits within Custodial Contracts Group Education which is part of the Directorate of Safety and Rehabilitation. 

My role involves driving improvements to contractual outcomes by supporting the contract management team through management and adherence to effective contract management governance, by providing; secretariat and administrative support and data analysis to validate provider performance to assure the delivery of value for money services and drive positive outcomes for service users. 

I lead on the Contractual Supplier survey that captures the levels and quality of engagement between Suppliers and the Prison Education Teams, where I source and collate the information from Provider third parties. I Manage timely returns, keep records and track the progress. I Collate and analyse the information, by drafting a report for senior managers which is contributed to contractual governance activities.

Managing a team of fourteeen Interviewers who carry out Social Surveys on behalf of ONS. My role consists of doing the following for the Team: allocating work; performance management; authorising expense’s/Timecards; attendance management; probation meetings and Induction meetings; delivery of Briefings/Training for new and experienced staff. I use many forms of reports to manage the performance for the team which has data on their working patterns, responses to the Surveys and accuracy/quality of Survey data. I accompany Interviewers in the field to assess their performance, also support and train them in their role.

As part of my role I have been involved in posting on our Social media site, conducting iPhone rebuilds and general problem solving on technology issues that my staff encounter.

I am also a Facilitator for The Employee Voice committee at ONS, where I hold meetings to gather the Interviewer Manager’s ideas/views that affect their role in the organisation. The main purpose for this is to introduce positive changes to create smarter working in the organisation. I formulate these ideas alongside other Facilitators and then present them to the Board of Directors, in the view for them being produced into Business cases.

Speaking to the public about their opinions on various topics and issues in Great Britain, which measures attitudes and behaviour of the British.

Conducting Market research which contributes to product design and development. Doing Social Surveys on behalf of different governing bodies which contribute to policy making.
