Kaitlyn Sandeman

Since completing my Architecture degree at Sydney University in 2020 I have used my skills within the film and events industries. I have worked on 6 film & television productions across Australia and Europe and am now Set Designing full-time for events & fashion at True Staging, just outside of London. As a Set Designer and Draftsperson I have had the opportunity to generate concepts, manage my own sets, design furniture and larger spaces through 3D modelling, produce construction and CNC drafts, render my models and source set dressing.

Sustainability and meaningful design decisions are of particular importance to me. I aim to design with an artistic yet architectural approach, through collaborative concept development and meticulous 3D models, Sub D Rhino forms and drafts.

Working across three departments (construction, set dec & art) has allowed me to better understand the creative process of film making and production design. I aim to work as collaboratively as possible and look forward to expanding my experience in other creative departments.

I studied a Bachelor of Architecture and Environments at Sydney University from 2018 - 2020
