About Kamil Godula:

Following the success of A-levels and apprenticeship, I am currently employed as a Costs Draftsman. I would like to build on my background and experience gained through promotions within current employment, to head start my career in accountancy. Despite the offer to take the traditional university route, I have found the hands-on approach of an apprenticeship more rewarding to showcase how theory can be readily applied into professional environments. Eager to start accounting, I have been shadowing the accounts department – since then, my attention to detail and initiative have led to two promotions in which I am entrusted to lead meetings, and take over some work load such as direct payments, reconciling invoices on XERO, importing invoices, keeping an up-to-date spreadsheet of income and invoices to show, weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly and annual growth

Proficient in preparing a wide range of legal documents, including Bills of Costs, Budgets, VHCC plans, Legal Aid Cases, Part 8 Forms, Schedule of Costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

 

●      Legal Document Preparation: Drafting and finalising various legal documents with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to legal standards.

●      Client and Counsel Communication: Skilled in building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and counsel through clear and effective communication, ensuring alignment on case requirements and expectations.

●      Financial Management: Expertise in managing financial accounts, including reconciling accounts, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records using Xero accounting software.

●      Team Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and deliver high-quality work within established timelines.

●      Meeting Facilitation: Experienced in organising and leading meetings with managers, directors, and team members to discuss work progress and addressing challenges.

●      Consistent review of financial and legal documents to identify and rectify inaccuracies, thus ensuring compliance for optimal outcomes. This takes great attention to detail whilst managing deadlines.

●      Regularly hitting target meant I could achieve fiscal incentives such as an increase in salary, and a 4-day work week. In particular. A recent monthly target surpassed 302% leading to a pay rise of 3% annual. I am motivated to improve the standard of my invoicing and drafting from this.

●      Received a promotion early on, providing me with a higher level of responsibility within the company alongside other companies owned by the Director. My knowledge has proved sufficient to train up other apprentices, helping me to improve leadership and responsibility skills.
