Leading a team of 4 technicians in a high demanding science focused school consisting of 13 laboratories.
- Diary management of all practical’s taking place throughout the week to ensure they are all complete to a high standard.
- Creating new practical’s for both GCSE and A-level chemistry.
- Responsive to changing priorities and assigning workload to maximise efficiency of the whole
department by splitting work equally between the team.
- Organising and running engaging open days/evenings for students.
- Quality control and safety, ensuring all experiments and procedures adhere to strict quality control
guidelines and safety standards.
- Filing of lesson content for all staff to access.
Private chemistry tutor – September 2023 – current
Running a small Alevel/GCSE chemistry tutoring business for around 8 students.
- Diary management of tutoring lessons for students, varying week on week.
- Creating engaging lessons for students which focus on their specific weaknesses.
- Strong relationships with both students and parents to gain trust and respect for one another.
- Motivation to see other people succeed and reach their dream goals.

Preparing chemistry lab experiments for students aged 11-18.
- Accurate preparation of standard and stock solutions following CLEAPSS health and safety
guidelines.
- Maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
- Performing a wide range of chemical experiments such as titrations, chromatography, and pH
measurements.
- Planning and trailing new experiments to improve areas of the course which lacked problem-solving
skills used in industry by chemists to make it more applicable to the modern world.
