I believe I am relaible because I will arrive to work/start shifts on time, I will also be consistent in my work which leads on to the second thing, being committed. I believe I am committed to any tasks/jobs I am given to be completed at a time efficient rate and to the best of my ability. The last thing would be being attentive, I am always looking for tasks that need to be completed without being instructed, another thing to add on would be that I look out for alternative ways for tasks to be completed, this could save thimgs such as time and money for the company. 
 

In June 2018 I started some work experience in a primary school, the manor primary school, to get a look into the world of the work industry. I really enjoyed this period of time because during this I learnt some qualities that I have been able to carry with me. For example I learnt the skill of leadership. I developed this skill by the class teachers giving me tasks of taking small groups of children outside of the classroom to take part in activities such as reading or a sports activity.

Waitress – LA diner 

My role as a waitress was to take orders from customers, assisting the head chef in making small dishes, making sure the diner was clean and serving food. Whilst working here I developed the skill of communication and understood how important that skill is. Another quality I developed her was learning how to work under pressure. At times the diner would become very busy so working together in a team with my colleagues was essential. 

Store assistant – Asda 

My role as a store assistant at Asda included a variety of different activities. My main responsibility was to replenish the shelves. Another responsibility would be to handle and manage the stock in the warehouse. On the odd occasion I would help with unloading the deliveries into the warehouse.

I worked here during the start of the coronavirus pandemic, so things would become stressful at times, this meant that working together in a team was essential but also having an independent initiative.

Temporary shelf replenished – Waitrose 

My role as a shelf replenished was to keep the shelves stocked up regularly during the Christmas period for the customers. Another responsibility was assisting customers with any queries they had, helping them locate items and solving any problem they may have had to the best of my ability. This job was Christ temporary position.

Retail assistant/online picker – Iceland 

My role whilst working at Iceland involved a variety of different tasks. My main responsibility was being an online picker. I would pick the products of the shelves for the online orders and pack them in the mornings. I would also be a retail assistant – this means that I would help unload deliveries, serve customers on the checkouts, and date/quality check to ensure they are up to standard for sale. 

Care assistant – Brookside residential home

Whilst working at Brookside my role was to support an individual with daily tasks, enabling them to live their life to the best of their abilities. A few of my daily responsibilities would include helping a resident get washed and dressed, assisting with meals, ensuring each residents individual needs are met and providing company. Some qualities and attributes that I believe made me a good carer was being observant of everything around me with added communication skills to speak up, being positive for the residents, and having patience. Having patience is key to a job such as a carer because I believe that having patience helps you to develop a healthy attitude to the work place and allows you to accept set backs.
