Kelvin Ip

Growing up I was like any normal child who loved playing games. I was so mesmerized by racing games and strategic games that I would design my own racing tracks and games maps with pen and paper to share with my friends. Learning that I can create my own games with game editor has opened the door to a whole new world for me- I spent much more time on editing games than the main game content. It planted the seed of curiosity about what it’s like to be a game designer.

It turns out that my seed of curiosity is an active endeavor. After my first job at an animation studio where I received my aesthetics training, I earned my Computer Science degree which equipped me with plenty of tools and skills to support my career in the game development industry. I didn’t stop there. I then acquired my Master degree in Entertainment Technology which provided me with a comprehensive training in game design. To date I have been a game designer for over a decade.

I like creating new game projects in my spare time and I strive to expand my horizons by engaging in different game projects. I am looking forward to meeting new people, learning new technology and getting new insight in my upcoming game design journey.
