I am a former English teacher beginning my Masters degree in Publishing. I have a keen eye for detail after seven years of proof-reading and editing long form written content like stories and essays. I have completed several publishing projects during courses for Bloomsbury and ELVTR, including a copyedit and a marketing pitch.

Experience

I originally trained as an English Teacher and taught in various schools for seven years. These schools ranged from state schools in Scotland to international private schools in Germany, so I have a wide variety of experience with shareholders and communications with management. A benefit from my degree is my attention to detail which is constantly utilised when proofreading, copyediting, and transcribing student work. I have been able to play the role of editor within school by guiding students through their dissertations, their spoken assessments, and their creative writing.

Education

I hold a 2:1 Honours degree in English Studies with Professional Secondary Education from the University of Stirling.

I am beginning a Masters in Publishing in September 2026 in the University of Stirling. 

I hold a Certificate of Distinction from ELVTR and Bloomsbury after successful completion of their ‘Become a Book Editor’ course.
