About Kerri Bradley:
I have recently completed my degree in Psychology and am keen to utilise the skills I have gained, to progress in my career aspects. I am logical, inquisitive, and persistent. My continuous desire to help individuals and my satisfaction when I do so, enable me to showcase my problem-solving skills.
Experience
In line with my placement, which was completed during my degree, I have some experience working with individuals with mental health difficulties, as well as those with other disabilities. I recognize the importance and the need for compassion in an industry as such, and since gaining experience as a support worker, it has enabled my confidence and passion for helping others, to excel. Through this placement, there were multiple occasions where we spent time talking with and assisting beneficiaries to create an independent living plan, setting targets for each to have reached within the set timeframe of three months, in which this would be reviewed, and new targets would be set to ensure their independent living skills were met.
Concerning research and audit experience, my final year of study consisted of conducting my own research project. The study considered the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the likelihood of developing anxiety during adulthood, whilst considering the effects of emotion regulation strategies as a moderating variable throughout this cross-sectional study. I am very proud of the work that was produced during the eight months in which this study took place and the findings, as it is a topic that I am highly interested in. From this, I have gained experience in designing and implementing audit and research projects, as well as, applying psychological measures such as self-report measures and rating scales to gain a further understanding of patient needs.
Education
I have great observational and analytical experience, which have been demonstrated in previous research reports during my time at University, including my dissertation. I am a friendly and empathetic person, and I enjoy working with individuals who may require help. I am keen to take on new challenges and to begin to make a positive impact on society.
I have a vast knowledge of data processing software, such as SPSS, and have a greater understanding of the importance of interpreting data, to assist with the completion of research. Furthermore, when completing assignments, Lab reports and creating presentations, my experience and understanding of basic IT literacy skills have strengthened to a high standard.
