Hello, I'm Kevin, and I come from Caribbean descent, which has always been a source of pride and inspiration in my life. With a diverse background, I've embarked on a unique journey that has shaped my career and aspirations. My journey began with myself doing locum work which helped me become adaptable and flexible. However, my path took a significant turn when I transitioned into the world of technical support. For 6 months, I worked as a 2nd line supoport analyst for a Fortune 500 company, Johnson Matthey. This role introduced me to the intricacies of IT, where I gained valuable experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues, problem solving and providing top-notch customer service.  

My professional journey has been characterized by versatility and adaptability across various industries and roles. I began as a Sales Executive at Stepchange Outsourcing, refining my sales and communication skills. I then ventured into logistics as a Trainee HGV Driver at Furniture Resource Center, learning the ropes of heavy goods vehicle operation. 

My career path took another twist when I joined John Lewis as a Customer Service representative, further developing my customer-centric approach. However, a pivotal moment came when I joined Johnson Matthey as a Technical Support Analyst (2nd Line Support), providing crucial IT assistance to a Fortune 500 company. 

This role significantly improved my problem-solving abilities and technical expertise. In addition to these roles, I also worked as an Agency Driver, showcasing my adaptability and flexibility in various work environments. My diverse professional background, combined with my degree in English and Theatre, has equipped me with a wide-ranging skill set and a unique perspective. Now, I'm excited to channel this diverse experience into the IT field, where I aim to continue my growth and contribute effectively.

I am currently pursuing an apprenticeship with QA, specializing in IT Level 3 Azure Cloud Support. This apprenticeship has provided me with valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in cloud computing, particularly in the Azure environment. In addition to my technical training, I hold a Bachelor's degree in English and Theatre, where I achieved a 2:1 classification. This educational background reflects my strong foundation in communication, creative thinking, and analytical skills, which I believe complement my IT aspirations by fostering effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and changes in my apprenticeship, I am committed to further developing my IT expertise and leveraging my diverse educational background to contribute meaningfully to the ever-evolving technology landscape.
