Project 2: Extension of rail loading platform, civils, infrastructure and level crossing - Project Value $6 million

• Developed the concept designs for the container storage area and rail terminal for the infrastructure, including the electrical, lighting and services. 
• Prepared tender documentation, tendered works packages, evaluated responses, and awarded Contracts. 
• Set up Contractor on site including HSE reviews, managing Contractors works, approval of RAMS and review progress against planned works.

Project: Intelligent Transport Systems ITS2020 civils and infrastructure - Project value $20 million

Included 475 km fiber optic cable, 65 km electrical cable, 60 km telecoms duct, 170 feeder pillars, 160 outstation cabinets and 147 trenchless road crossings. 

• Successfully implemented the project for the civil and infrastructure works.
• Completed works on time and within budget for the Traffic Management Center (TMC) opening.
• Managed construction Managers/teams and subcontractors, planning, quality assurance, and HSE 
• Review and signoff for risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
• Prepare weekly progress reports for Project Management Consultant and the Client (Roads Transport Authority)

Design Manager - Salam Technologies Qatar

January 2017 - February 2018

Project: Port Operation, Access Control, Security, Infrastructure and Integration - Project value $300 million

• Design management of the design teams for the port systems including primary and disaster recovery data center.
• Design and supervision for the outside plant installation, including ducts, pits and fiber network. 
• Coordination and stakeholder management with Clients Team, port Stakeholders, technology specialists and PMC.
• Internal review of designs for compliance to specifications, completeness.
• Introduced daily design review workshops with systems integrator to improve quality and reduce review cycles.
• Prepared detailed weekly progress reports and presentations, for Client Team.
• Actively encouraged quality department to take more of active role to ensure quality of delivered documentation.

Design Manager - Qatar Project Management / Lusail Real Estate Development Company Qatar

September 2011 - November 2016

Project 1: Development of detailed design for citywide Intelligent Transport System - Project value $2 million

• Preparation of tender documents to select a Company to proceed with the requirements gathering and detailed design of the Intelligent Transport System.
• Preparation of scope of works and program schedule for the ITS Consultant.
• Liaising with Client Team, PMC and Authorities, including Ashghal (Public Works Authority), Ministry of Interior (MoI), Security Systems Department and Road Traffic Authority.
• Securing approval of ITS detailed design from Lusail Management, MoI and Ashghal.
• Liaising with over 20 construction packages to ensure ITS design is incorporated in the ongoing construction.
• Assessing tunnel systems and reviewing designs in conjunction with ITS design and NFPA 502 requirements.

Project 2: Development of a detailed design for the Lusail Traffic Management Center - Project value $1.5 million.

• Preparation of tender documents and selection of a qualified Company for the detailed design.
• Review of concept, ergonomic and detailed designs.
• Recommendations provided to management.
• Ensuring all infrastructure works are coordinated with the construction packages. 

Project 3: Lusail Smart City systems design and implementation - Project value $100 million

• Stakeholder requirements gathering with Client Team, Ooredoo (Telco), and all other Stakeholders.
• Defining Smart City strategies in line with Qatar 2030 vision.
• High and low-level fiber design, smart meter integration, data center design

Project 4: Lusail Security Systems Design - Project value $1 million

• Defining MoI and Security Systems Department requirements for a citywide security system.
• Control center and dedicated 65km duct network design, including BIM modelling. 

I was also involved with various other projects: MoI telecommunications department for design of TETRA and LTE communications networks, traffic signals design and integration to the tram network, traffic enforcement for MoI, wayfinding strategy & design and security and access control design of the VIP gated community at Legtaifiya lagoon.
