About Kirstie Wong:
I am an enthusiastic UCL PhD graduate who is passionate about shifting society’s perspective of mental health; contributing to positively shaping young people’s futures by building relationships/rapport as a catalyst for change and recovery.
In my recent role as a PhD student at University College London, I successfully designed and implemented a randomised wait-list trial evaluating the effectiveness of behavioural parent training for parents with children diagnosed with ADHD. This experience equipped me with valuable skills in conducting psychological assessments, administering psychometric tools, and managing various aspects of research projects.
My commitment to advancing knowledge in the field is evident through my participation in conferences such as the 20th International Congress of the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and The 9th World Congress on ADHD, where I presented my research findings. These experiences have not only honed my research and presentation skills but have also allowed me to stay updated on the latest developments in child mental health.
