Krisha Gandhi

I am an experienced and qualified Headteacher and Director of Studies, currently undertaking an MBA, who has proven success in improving the learning environment for pupils and enhancing their educational experience. 

In my my recent position at the Bishkek International School, I was dually employed as the Director of Studies, and the Head of Primary School and PYP Coordinator. I was responsible for managing the daily duties of the employees, the adherence to the $1mil annual budget and to manage the strategic and operational direction of the school. My roles entail leading the holistic delivery of a wide range of educational programmes including the UK National Curriculum, Singapore Curriculum and IB requirements. During the pandemic restrictions I rapidly responded by delivering digital learning in response to school closures across Asia and I facilitated the role of key advisor and coordinator for the Central Asian Ministries of Education during online and remote learning.

Whilst working at the International School I have increased the student roll by 20%, and I was appointed as the youngest NEASC international schools inspection visitor. I improved the ISA results within three years by implementing new standards and achieved the highest scores for iGCSE and DP on record. I also successfully secured grants to design the countries first wheelchair friendly sensory playground. 

My objective now is to utilise my aforementioned competencies and develop my knowledge and skill-set further. I am seeking a role where I can contribute to supporting all young people in developing confidence, resilience and a future to feel proud of.

I am a pragmatic and innovative Headteacher and Director of Studies, who is experienced at an international level, and holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from Warwick University. Throughout my career, and particularly following on from my MA, I have proven success in instilling a strong working culture of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, and implementing life-long learning journeys. Trained as an international school inspector, I know what makes a school successful and enjoy supporting teams in meeting their contextual needs. I am passionate in supporting the academic and personal development of children, and encouraging them to use their qualities and achieve their potential. My communication and multi-lingual abilities enable me to converse at all levels. I utilise my leadership skills to motivate and support a team to achieve outstanding results, and I actively support the career progression and professional development of the workforce.
