I am a recent graduate with a Master of Science degree in Formulation Science, specializing in Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in the pharmaceutical industry. My academic background has equipped me with expertise in formulation development, analytical techniques, and technology transfer. I have hands-on experience in various laboratory experiments and formulation enhancements, which have honed my scientific curiosity and analytical skills.

During my coursework, I gained proficiency in essential QA/QC methodologies, including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR), dissolution testing, and stability studies. I excel at interpreting and analyzing data from drug testing.

I am passionate about pharmaceutical development and am drawn to Piramal's reputable Technical Services team. I am particularly interested in the Pharmaceutical Development Services department, where I can contribute to formulating and manufacturing Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) crucial for clinical trials and regulatory processes.

My strengths include a keen attention to detail, a data-driven approach, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines. I am committed to optimizing project delivery for external clients and am enthusiastic about utilizing my technical proficiency to support the team's success.

With a strong interest in Paints, Cosmetics, and Pharmaceutical development, along with my extensive QA/QC experience, I bring a unique and valuable perspective to the team.

M.Sc. Formulation Science

Projects: 

1. Design and synthesis of positive allosteric modulators of P2X4.  

• A computational study determined how compound 372 and the P2X4 receptor interact and how well they stick together.
• Experiments have shown that using chemicals 372 as positive allosteric modulators of the P2X4 receptor can help treat multiple sclerosis (MS).
• Recommendations for improving the design and production of mimics to make them more potent and selective.

2. Case Study: Lactose Intolerance from Ice-cream.

• In my investigation on lactose intolerance, I found that ice cream and other dairy products cause it because the body lacks the lactase enzyme. 
• The lactase enzyme breaks down the lactic acid in these products, including ice cream, milk, cheese, and milkshakes.
• Soy, rice, and almond milk can substitute for lactic acid-containing dairy milk.

Project: 

“Synthesis of Polydimethylsiloxane modified Waterborne Polyurethane Coats for its Antifouling properties”. This project was theoretical, and I submitted a thesis.

• This project focused on waterborne polyurethane (WPU) coatings and adhesives, which are environmentally friendly, low-VOC, and versatile.
• This study examines how polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) affects waterborne polyurethane (WPU) colloidal properties, film-forming behaviour, surface characteristics, mechanical strength, and thermal properties.
