I am an experienced Employment Mentor where I have worked with many EAL international students and am passionate about helping clients achieve personal and professional growth.

Employment Mentor (EAL/international clients)

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring to EAL clients and international students to help them identify and take practical steps to overcome barriers preventing them taking up identified training and employment. 
  • Support EAL and international clients with necessary English language learning. 
  • Work closely with clients and building positive relationships and create action plans to assist them with their areas of need. 
  • Empower, motivate, and support EAL clients and international students to move into and sustain employment, as well as support clients to progress whilst in work, providing a flexible and high-quality service.

  • Plan and implement English lessons that consist of skill building techniques for reading, writing, speaking, and listening. 
  • Create opportunities for students to actively engage with one another, to practice and improve their English grammar and conversational skills as much as possible. 
  • Prepare extra-curricular activities for groups and individual students. 
  • Provide consistent feedback to students related to each lesson. 
  • Identify and suggest additional resources for learners.
