EXPERIENCE
APRIL 2024- PRESENT HUMAN RESOURCES ADVISOR, IMPACT ENERGY LTD In my role as Human Resources Advisor for Impact Energy I am responsible for logging and approving the annual leave for all staff via the Uattend app as well as tracking absences and lates and reporting this to the directors. I will also chair disciplinary and investigation meeting where required and compile the notes, report and outcome letters for all parties involved. On a daily basis I can be dealing with any number of issues such as long term illness and how the company should handle this to the onboarding process and inductions for new starters. I am also sometimes called upon to assist with any ad-hoc administration that #may be required during our busy periods.
NOVEMBER 2022- APRIL 2024 INSPECTIONS CO-ORDINATOR, LIFTING GEAR UK In my role as Inspections Co-Ordinator I am responsible for managing the diaries for our National Inspectors of which there are 10. This includes ensuring they know where they are required to be each day, that they have the necessary equipment to complete each day’s work and ensuring that any additional information required by our customers is completed and submitted in plenty of time to make sure the job can be completed as scheduled. Due to the nature of the role communication is key. Our inspectors are based from Preston to Bridgwater so ensuring that they are aware of what we require from them and what they require from us is essential. In addition to this I am also required to complete the weekly time sheets and any expense forms for our Inspectors and to send them to our Payroll team at Head Office to prevent any payment delays. At Lifting Gear we use various software for the management of jobs. As well as utilizing Microsoft Excel to its full potential for planning purpose we also use a system called Insphire for the raising of contracts and/or Purchase Order as well as CoreRFID which is our online certification portal where customers can download the certificates from their on-site inspections. We have only recently migrated to CoreRFID and, as with all systems, it has had its teething problems. I have found that being on hand for customers; via email or over the phone, has been essential in ensuring that we retain our customers confidence and encourage repeat business.

APRIL 2022- NOVEMBER 2022 ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER, STUDENT ROOST When I started at Student Roost in April 2022 I worked hard alongside the management team to resolve a number of issues that they were experiencing on site. This included a lack of regular compliance reporting and some miscommunication between the on site staff and residents. In order to rectify this I have worked very closely with the team to implement new processes for compliance and dealing with residents complaints and this was very well received by all team members. I took an active role in the development of all team members by holding regular one to ones with them and putting plans in place for their own development. Alongside the above my team and I were responsible for 430 residents from 4 different universities so I needed to be aware of the appropriate contracts at each University so that I was able to signpost our residents to the appropriate help if needed as well as ensuring that any maintenance jobs they reported were completed correctly and in a timely manner. I was also responsible for raising all of the Purchase Orders for my site as well as receipting them when delivery was received and chasing any unmade payments.
AUGUST 2021- APRIL 2022 ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER, ABODUS STUDENTS My role as Assistant Operations Manager required me to work alongside the manager in running a 323 bed Student Accommodation. This included ensuring all compliance checks and Pre Planned Maintenance (PPM’s) were completed as and when required and making sure all the relevant paper work was up to date. We also used an online portal to monitor our compliance checks and it was my responsibility to ensure that this was up to date and any necessary actions rectified. In order to monitor this I would pull a daily report from the system to check that everything was up to date. I was also involved in the planning and implementation of events on site such as the Welcome Party and Sales events. Due to the Nominations contract that was also in place I had to regularly liaise with the University in order to monitor sales, report incidents such as anti-social behaviour and organize drop ins from the University. I am also familiar with SAGE for raising and receipting Purchase orders and ensuring that invoices are paid on time.
NOVEMBER 2020-AUGUST 2021 ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER, OCASA HOMES As Assistant Property Manager I am tasked with the day to day running of five sites across the North West. With a large number of residents across the five locations my duties include; logging maintenance requests from tenants and liaising with contractors to ensure that these are rectified in a timely manner, responding to emails, sales activities including contacting potential new tenants via HubSpot. Alongside the Regional Operations Manager we are also currently over seeing major refurbishment works at three out of our five properties to convert the properties to Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMO’s).
NOVEMBER 2015 – NOVEMBER 2020 ADMINISTRATOR, NIDO STUDENT As Assistant Manager I was tasked with the day to day running of two sites across Liverpool City Centre. With a student population of 314 duties included logging maintenance jobs, liaising with contractors and residents, communication management as well as sales and marketing activities. Compliance was also a major part of my role. This included but was not limited to, arranging the required compliance checks, for example, EICRs, EPCs, Gas Safety checks and maintenance of the water tanks. Weekly fire alarm tests where also carried out by myself and I would also schedule the 6 monthly and annual checks in regards to the fire alarm system. As Nido Student is also ANUK accredited I had to ensure that we complied with their guidelines at all times. When Nido Student first bought our buildings I was responsible for showing a Liverpool City Council representative around our HMO site in order for the properties to become licensed in Nido Students name. I also had to compile and manage our inhouse debt with regular reporting which I would send to the Operations Director. Further duties involved organizing events for residents alongside the national marketing and events team. Before Nido completed the take over of Haigh Court & Heritage Court, I was employed my Mansion Student in the same capacity. |
DEPUTY MANAGER, STANLEYBET INTERNATIONAL As Deputy Manager of the UK’s flagship store, I was responsible for the management of large amounts of cash, ensuring that cash was stored and banked appropriately and that accounts balanced at the end of each night. While here I also managed the rota’s for team of 5, adhering to any shift and/or holiday requests and ensuring that the number of staff on duty suited the demands of the business. I originally started Stanley bet as a part time cashier and was able to work my up through the company- an achievement of which I am extremely proud. |
