- Full transport compliance responsibility in North East of England, Working effectively at all times to ensure legal compliance for the operation, Work actively to maintain vehicle and drivers’ legal compliance, ensuring that all vehicles under my supervision are presented to perioding inspections and annual MOTs in a timely manner, Ensure that any Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive infringements are dealt with in a timely manner, making use of the group’s disciplinary policy as and when required.
- Responsible for the MHE fleet on site and closely managing the local Jungheinrich relationship.
- Monitor performance and absenteeism for all direct reports as well as conduct in line with company policy, Managing staff’s annual leave, ensuring the continuous delivery of service to customers is not affected by excessive annual leave allocation within any periods
- Ensure that the depot operations operate under the relevant legislation / safety standard requirement, including adherence to all ISO & BRC standards
- Carry out incident, accident investigations, ensuring robust countermeasures in place
- Ability to build effective relationships both internal and external
