About Lekshmi Sankari Menon:

My name is Lekshmi Sankari Menon. I have just completed MSc Psychology(Conversion) from the University of Chester, UK.  I studied Master of Social Work (Clinical Social Work Specialization) from Christ University Bangalore, India in 2014. I have more than 4 years of paid work experience. Furthermore, I had also engaged in unpaid volunteer work with differently abled children.

 



 

 

Experience

My work experience in India was mostly with children and young people. Being someone who is extremely passionate about working with children, I have had the privilege to work with survivors of Child sexual abuse, Children in need of care and protection, Children in conflict with law and underprivileged children living in the slums of India. I also worked towards the rescue and rehabilitation of women and children who were trafficked and forced into prostitution and was also a part of eradicating child labour by rescuing minor boys from the same. I had also worked with a multi-disciplinary team so as to save lives and to break the cycle of crime.
