Lexie Macphail

A motivated Linguistics graduate seeking opportunities for Speech and Language Therapy (SLT). 

With 2+ years of experience working with children in an educational setting, I am keen to gain experience as an SLT Assistant before starting my Masters in SLT in September 2025. 

As an ESL teacher in Spain and a self-employed ESL tutor, I developed and implemented lesson plans for students of diverse ages and proficiency levels, tailoring my teaching methods to meet individual learning needs. My focus was on enhancing students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through interactive and engaging activities.

During this time, I became increasingly aware of the number of children with speech and language difficulties. I have been continually intrigued by the variety of these challenges and their impact on a child's development. This fascination has driven my eagerness to work within a medical setting, where I can learn more about this field and understand the necessary interventions.
