Experience
EMPLOYMENT Senior Sales Advisor - Vodafone, Stirling January 2021 to Present Date Upon being hired at Vodafone I was originally a sales assistant. However, after my probation I was promoted to Business Advisor in June 2022. Once again being promoted to my current Senior Sales role in January 2023. My responsibilities included. Primarily in sales, greeting and dealing with customers to try and find best deals possible in phones but also broadband, watches and tablets. Whilst also dealing with any technical queries from customers or staff. Further responsibilities included being a key holder for the store, helping train the new members of staff, stock checks, deliveries, keeping shop floor clean, covering other franchise stores within 100 mile radius if they were short staffed and the occasional general maintenance like painting and redesigning the shop layout. Since being moved to Senior Sales it has required me to be in charge of the Stirling Store when Management has not been in. Then between June 2023 - October 2023 I was made in charge of the Cumbernauld branch on a full time basis whilst waiting for new management to start. During this time I was also dealing with additional responsibilities like paperwork, staff rotas, customer resolutions and maintenance whilst still being expected to sell and hit my targets.
Office Assistant - JMEC Electrical Contractors, Jersey - October 2020 to January 2021: As an Office Assistant my duties included: keeping an inventory of office supplies and ordering new materials as needed, scheduling appointments, organizing files, scanning and uploading documents, answering phone calls, taking and delivering messages, sorting and sending mail, completely digitising the entire filing system, recording customer feedback and assisting with payroll. After gaining new life and work experiences in Jersey, I left JMEC to return home to Scotland, as I was offered a job back at Vodafone.
Bartender – Café Ube, Jersey Airport - August 2020 to October 2020: In this position, my time was split between working in the café and the airport bar. My duties included: making and serving hot and cold drinks, taking food orders and processing customer payments. I would also be required to prepare basic hot foods, provide table service, order/replenish stock and ensure the bar and café was cleaned too. I was once again made redundant here due to a new covid restrictions hitting Jersey.
Team Member - Carlton Bingo, Stirling - July 2019 to August 2020: I was trained to work in all areas of the Bingo Hall. My duties included: promoting bingo play by providing customers with instructions, play assistance or information, maintaining a register of cash and exchanging money for customers, assisting the Caller by verifying wins and distributing cash prizes from the safe which I would be in charge of keeping track of all transactions. Another one of my duties involved Bartender work, this included serving drinks to customers, taking food orders, providing table service, ordering stock and ensuring the bar area was cleaned regularly. I was made redundant by Carlton, due to government restrictions on trading following COVID-19.
Customer Assistant - Dobbies Garden Centre, Stirling – September 2015 to July 2019: I worked within the restaurant section of Dobbies Garden Centre. My primary role was Kitchen Porter. My duties included: being part of the team that ran the dishwasher, taking deliveries, food preparation, clearing tables and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and restaurant areas. I was also trained to work in other sections of the restaurant and would operate the cash registers and serve food to customers when required. I left Dobbies after nearly four years’ service to take up a new position at Carlton Bingo. As I wanted to move to a position in which there could be progression.
Cleaning Operative - Granite City Window Cleaners, Aberdeen - May 2014 to September 2015: I worked part-time as a Cleaning Operative for my fathers’ window cleaning company. My duties included: cleaning the windows of commercial and domestic properties, servicing and maintaining equipment, invoicing customers, collecting payments and replenishing stock.
VOLUNTEERING ROLES
Patient Assistant - NHS, GP and Minor Injuries Unit, Stirling - April 2020 to July 2020 I worked part-time as a Patient Assistant. This was voluntary work to assist during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, I was furloughed from my position at Carlton Bingo. My duties included: identifying people with potential COVID symptoms by going through a pre-set series of questions. I would also direct and guide people to the correct area of the Hospital.
Customer Assistant - Mary’s Meals Charity Shop, Dunblane - May 2015 to September 2015: I worked part-time as a Customer Assistant, this was voluntary work which enabled me to gain valuable workplace experience. My duties included unpacking donations, checking stock and stacking shelves. I would also work on the shop floor serving customers.
