Lona Elias

I am a health and programme support professional with experience in healthcare administration, project coordination, and community engagement. I have supported health programmes by managing documentation, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to senior teams. My work has involved liaising with multidisciplinary stakeholders, supporting monitoring and reporting processes, and ensuring activities are delivered in line with policies, governance, and quality standards.

Through my community role with the British Heart Foundation, I have gained experience engaging local organisations, supporting awareness initiatives, and representing a national health charity in the community. This has strengthened my communication, presentation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.

I also bring clinical exposure from a medical laboratory setting, giving me a strong understanding of confidentiality, data accuracy, infection prevention, and patient-focused services. I am organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in fast-paced healthcare environments, with a strong commitment to supporting safe, effective, and high-quality health services in the UK.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Landmark University, graduating with a strong academic record (CGPA 4.16/5.0). I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Public Health through Ahmadu Bello University (Distance Learning), which is strengthening my knowledge of health systems, epidemiology, programme management, and health policy. My education has provided a solid foundation in scientific research, data analysis, and evidence-based practice, alongside an understanding of public health interventions and population health.

I also completed my West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) at Anglican Girls’ Grammar School, Abuja. My academic background supports my professional work in healthcare, public health programmes, and health-related administrative and coordination roles.
