Biomedical Science graduate aiming to complete the IBMS portfolio and obtain the HCPC registration. 

I am currently working as LIMS administrator and have had experience as a senior AP and MLA

• Support laboratory management and laboratory users in respect of LIMS functionality, day to day operational issue management, onboarding, and training in respect of the end-to-end clinical diagnostics workflow for COVID testing.
• Provide first line support to users and management in respect of LIMS operations, functionality, data flow and reporting.
• Manage and drive interactions with the LIMS and other IT services escalate, investigate, and resolve support issues
• Work closely with the team to ensure users have the right tools and equipment to access LIMS inside and outside the lab and service level agreement are maintained.
• Coordinate with the core lab equipment and IT team to support the integration of laboratory equipment to the LIMS system and ensure operational efficiency.
• Work with the quality team to ensure good change control, release management and documentation to maintain the validate state of the LIMS system and enhance and improve the lab processes over time.
• Supporting the writing of documents for troubleshooting, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Data entry and upkeep to maintain the integrity of LIMS for equipment, operators, and locations
• Training officer duties included training MLAs, BMSs, troubleshoot computers and tablets, write guidelines, the creation, and the update of SOPs. I successfully created approved forms which are now in official use by all team members. In my role, the use of pipettes and pipetting skills were needed, accuracy, disinfection and housekeeping procedures were key elements to keep the quality control in place in such a small environment. Validations and quality assurance control and management through SharePoint and LIMS master access. 
• Another part of my role with the DHSC was to be extremely flexible as my role required constant travel and staying in hotels overnight around two hundred miles from home as well as cooperating with multiple companies such as Remote Medical International, Labware, Acacium Group, Maxxima, Espirita and senior project’s team members from the DHSC. The duties I have performed in our mobile processing unit were not supervised due to the maximum capacity of the vans, meaning that I had the full control during my shift which required great decision-making skills, the constant communication to senior staff such as BMSs and a great sense of responsibility and duty. 
• Based in a mobile processing unit that hosted a covid-19 testing laboratory. Associate practitioner position, I supervised all medical laboratory assistants. The process included a deep understanding of LIMS system through Labware, sample reception and decontamination inside the processing unit, sample login in through LIMS system, sample preparation in the microbiological safety cabinet. Sample extraction with Maxwell® RSC instrument using prefilled cartridges and pre-programmed methods, producing reliable DNA or RNA extraction in 25–60 minutes. Following the cold plate preparation of the Genie ® HT (OptiGene) which is specifically made for high-throughput environments offering diagnostic testing based on isothermal amplification methods LAMP
