As a parking expert I prioritise strategic objectives for parking provision in line with the members ad SLT's financial, business strategy, and corporate social responsibility requirements. Experience

I am responsible for developing policies affecting road management and community preservation, balancing residents and visitors' interests and actively involving the communities I serve. I help make roads greener, safer, and fairer by managing parking spaces, championing safety and environmental performance, and determining parking privileges. I manage assets, technology, contracts, revenue, and innovative approaches for councils in parking, highways, legal, finance, procurement, design, and communications. I lead cross-department project teams to deliver corporate objectives, including legal, finance, procurement, design, and communications. I have experience in acquiring funding for services and delivering complex multiagency projects, including ANPR implementation and OLEZ Government funding for electric vehicle charges in Ashford Borough Car parks. I ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery by developing Project Initiation documents, facilitating agreements, and hold meetings for accountability. I am skilled in leading managers and staff in high-profile local authorities' services, understanding council services' role in economic development, sustainability, transportation, community safety, and community needs. I analyse statistical data and trends, develop council policies and practices, particularly during revenue drops. Examples of projects include EV funding and implementation, commercialization of parking, parking charges, parking restructuring, new car parks, Pay by phone Incentives Paper, asset utilization, CCTV improvements, ANPR implementation, enforcement patrols, and evening restrictions, coordinating with bus operators for accessible, reliable service, upgrading back office systems, and implementing operational diesel surcharges, amongst many others. My individual's skills include leading large teams, motivating and developing staff, fostering open dialogue, organizing inductions, supervising, coaching, and training staff on recruitment and interviewing. I manage parking budgets, income, and expenditure, balancing service, profit, reputation, and cost efficiency, utilizing project lifecycle knowledge, budget responsibilities, and capital regeneration leadership. I respond to all complaints and FOIS for the service. I am honest, transparent and direct, ensuring customer satisfaction and a positive attitude in my work.
