Matt Draycott

I’m a highly motivated and ambitious individual with over 13 years of experience in a variety of design environments and roles. I see myself as a strategic thinking problem solver and father of two. I am efficient and adaptable with a proven track record for creating and leading departments.

Flexible in terms of abilities and skills, working on multiple projects from original ideas through to completion. With an eye for detail, design, and quality that carries through to all aspects of my life. I have experience of managing both large and small-scale projects with assets and design work sourced from multiple countries as well as proven success with team organisation, customer, and relationship management. I am an excellent communicator and manager with an emphasis on utilising the strengths of colleagues and an above and beyond attitude. I thrive on creating an environment of forward-thinking ideas driven by practical business needs, sales targets, and innovative marketing solutions.

I have extensive experience building, managing and being part of team as well as being able to work effectively using my own initiative. I also have a photography business which I mainly shoot weddings which I love but in order to keep a healthy home and work-life balance I do not take on lots of weddings just a healthy amount to get me out of the house and get some great social interaction and meet new people.

At the moment I am currently working on a Creative Director course through a company called Elvtr led by Jon Elsom Creative Director at McCann. I am doing this to build a network and find out if this is something I already doing within the business but without the title. I am always looking to better myself and those around me and due to complete the course in march.

I joined the hot tub distribution company in 2019 as a graphic designer to help bring all of there design and marketing in-house and to help build a in house marketing department to attract new dealers and support what they do.

At the beginning of 2020 there was just me but has now grown to a team of seven. Including myself helping in the recruitment of a head or marketing and recruiting and managing mid-weight designers and videographer. The company its self now manufactures and distributes a few ranges of Hot tubs, Saunas and Chill tubs as there main source of income.

As Senior designer I am responsible for leading, creating, and evolving marketing ideas not only for us but also for our partners that sell our products. So leading anything and everything from print based ideas and artwork to digital assets/videos and photography I am involved in.

Daily tasks can range from creating new artwrok, feedback on designs or even company/product videos to meeting with team members or external agencies and partners.

I work closely with all areas of the business from directors, after sales and warranty to the sales team and retail partners to help achieve the needs required to which then I will create a brief and I will brief in the other designers or videographer what exactly is needed for them to do and then review once received back.

I have helped develop the brand from Superior Spas to Superior Wellness to encompass everything we do which included a full re-brand, including new brand guidelines and delivering across multiple channels smoothly so this did not discourage or disrupt the partner network we deal with. I have also lead in creating new brands and evolving current brands products we have. Creating branded POS from pull up banners, to wall banners, posters and magazine adverts. In 2020 we also moved premises to which i was involved in the interior design of furniture choices, wall colouring, flooring and blinds to ensure all is on brand and I was also involved in the design and development of the new showroom. Since then we have create several new brands and continue to grow in the UK, Europe and US."
 

Currently working through a Creative director course for peace of mind and self-assurance as I've been in-house for the past 5 years. So any way to improve and better myself I am always open to. I have an FDA Visual communication and also A B-Tec Art and Design qualification.
