Services offered

I'm an experienced video and audio editor with a strong technical skill set. I specialise in podcasts/radio and use Adobe Creative Cloud extensively. My freelance clients have included the National Lottery, the Confucius Institute, and various podcasts.

I take pride in delivering high-quality video and audio edits within tight deadlines. In January, I completed a videography internship for the Tape Notes Podcast where I produced YouTube thumbnails on Photoshop, wrote copy for social media posts and edited full videos of varying lengths. Since June, I have been producing videos for Collective Aid’s ‘Water for All’ campaign.

Experience

Video Editor - Collective Aid (June 2023 - present)
As a dedicated Video Editor for Collective Aid, I've embraced a voluntary role promoting the Water For All campaign. I gather video materials from an array of sources and meticulously curate pertinent footage, distilling it into concise and impactful videos.

Producer/Editor - Basement Leeds Podcast (Jan 2023 - present)
Alongside my co-producer, I liaise with prospective guests, notable individuals within the vibrant Leeds music scene, and arrange interviews. I then single-handedly manage audio recording by carefully setting up microphones and vigilant monitoring the feed for any anomalies. Subsequently, I transform raw audio material into polished podcast episodes with countless seamless edits. To expand our reach, I also create engaging promotional content for social media platforms, including TikTok.

Video/Audio Editor (Freelance) - (Sep 2021 - present)
My freelance journey as a Video/Audio Editor has equipped me with a diverse skill set and a keen understanding of client interactions. I maintain open lines of communication with clients to grasp their unique needs and expectations. I consistently deliver work of the highest calibre to meet their deadlines. A particular niche of mine involves using spectral editing techniques to eliminate clicks and noise from audio, ensuring exceptional audio quality. My client portfolio includes esteemed names such as the National Lottery, the Confucius Institute, and Soho Radio’s monthly Poptique show.

Event Organiser - Bradford Young Promoters (Jan 2023 - August 2023)
During my tenure at Bradford Young Promoters, I actively immersed myself in the city's underfunded yet vibrant music scene. I strategically organised music performances, collaborating closely with artists and management, and allocating funding as I saw fit.

Videography Internship - Tape Notes, London (Oct 2022 - Jan 2023)
I have completed a three month internship programmer with Tape Notes, a high-charting podcast, in London. I adeptly edited videos across varying durations, spanning from brief TikToks to comprehensive multi-cam interviews lasting hours. I also wrote narration scripts, crafted engaging posts for social media, and producing eye-catching YouTube thumbnails using Photoshop. This hands-on experience significantly enhanced my skill set in video production and post-production.

Audio Engineer - Oxford Voice (Jul - Nov 2019)
Between years 1 and 2 of my degree, I managed one-on-one sessions with voice actors at Oxford Voice recording studios. I then processed and edited the long audio files within tight timeframes. Notable clients included Big Bus Tours and First Touch Soccer.

Education

Music, Multimedia and Electronics (BSc) - University of Leeds (2018 - 2021)

My unique degree course focused on the intersection of creativity and technology, and comprised modules from multiple disciplines. Through writing essays culminating in a dissertation on Spotify algorithms, I learnt how to thoroughly research a given topic and write up my findings with flair. Meanwhile weekly labs and coding workshops massively expanded my technical skill set, equipping me with proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and MaxMSP.

During the pandemic, I spearheaded the production and editing of a remotely recorded radio series for the UML Society. I also wrote for The Gryphon student newspaper, penning reviews of albums and documentaries, and contributed a researched piece on the history of synthpop to the History Student Times.
