Matthew Lance Smith

Senior Creative with over 15 years’ experience leading brand, design, and campaign work for consumer and purpose-led organisations. I’ve worked across in-house, agency, and freelance roles, delivering rebrands, integrated campaigns, and hands-on design across digital, CRM, social, product, packaging, and print.

I’ve held Head of Creative and senior leadership roles at brands including Moonpig, Buyagift, and Red Letter Days, where I led award-winning rebrands, built and mentored creative teams, and acted as brand guardian during periods of rapid growth and change. My experience includes working closely with product, marketing, and leadership teams, as well as navigating high-stake environments such as IPO preparation.

Alongside leadership, I remain a hands-on creative, comfortable designing and directing work day to day while ensuring clarity, consistency, accessibility, and strong brand expression. I’m particularly motivated by work that has heart and purpose, and I bring a calm, collaborative approach to building creative that is both emotionally resonant and commercially effective.
