Megan Botwright

I am honest, respectful and have good initiative. As well as this I am good with time management. I find myself to be capable of asking for support if needed and feel as though I work well on my own or in a team. I can prioritize my work with ease and ability. I am excited to improve my skills as well as learning new ones.  

I haven't had a chance to get into the working environment yet as I have been focusing on my education. While studying however I have gained some skills while doing work experience. My placement was at a library. I enjoyed this job as I got to work with a broad range of people. I was able to work on communication skills with the manager, colleagues, and service users. I gained skills in being professional and working well in a team. I had a lot to do while I was there, so I improved my skills in time management, following instructions and asking for guidance if it was needed. I quickly picked up the systems in place including the organization system for the books and working on the computers to scan books in, out and archiving them. During the placement I improved skills such as time management, working in a team, communication and learnt about effective customer service. Throughout the time I was there I learnt I had good initiative, I found myself finishing tasks early and moving on to doing something else, such as returning books, without speaking to the manager while she was busy.  

I am currently still studying at Suffolk One Sixth Form College. I have been working towards achieving Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care  after completing Level 2 BTEC Health and Social Care. Some of the Units I have done so far are Child development, Supporting People with Additional Needs, Nutritional health and many more.
