About me:

I am a CBT therapist working towards accreditation and looking for part-time work. I am particularly interested in 3rd wave contextual behaviour therapies, however take an integrative approach to treating individuals with different needs. I am a strong believer in principles of positive psychology and the concept of flow, and in my spare time I enjoy making art, music and taking care of my physical health and wellbeing.

Education:

I received a first class BSc in Psychology from the University of Sussex in 2017, before going on to train as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner in 2019 and I received Merit for my PGCert in Low Intensity Interventions for CYP at Kings College London alongside this. I have recently completed year 1 (equivalent to a PGdip) of a two year MSc in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy at Goldsmith's University. I am currently in my second year at Goldsmith's, working on a research project investigating attachment styles and OCD.

Experience:

I am a CBT therapist with experience working with children and adults in NHS and charity services, practising both 2nd and 3rd wave CBT including ACT, FAP and systemic therapies. Before this, I worked as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner in CAMHS for several years. Through these experiences, I have learned to be a reflective practitioner who values learning from supervision. I take a person centred approach focusing on individualised formulations.

Alongside this, I have worked in childcare for a number of years with children aged 7 months to 14 years old. Through this, I have learned to work with children with a variety of neuro developmental disorders and cater to their individual needs.
