I am a hard working individual who strives to get work done to the highest standard. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills, this has been built up by working closely within a team. I can work very well in a team and individually. I can work well in fast paced, pressured environments - I am able to focus fully on my work without any distractions.

• Maggies Bar and Kitchen is a very fast paced, challenging environment that can be stressful under pressured circumstances. My duties and responsibilities are to maintain kitchen safety regulations at all times. Every shift I start by collecting the boxes of food which has been delivered freshly by our retailer, I start unboxing them accordingly and write out sticky labels with an expiry date, I continue on by putting the labels onto the tubs and storing them into a fridge or freezer, depending on which food is contained in the tub. After I do that, I go straight to the sink to start washing the dishes that have been placed in there from morning prep and breakfast. I have to complete this at a very faced pace for the lunches starting. I hand wash them first of all and then load them into the dishwasher with due care until all dishes are washed and ready to be dried to be put away. Straight after, I start disinfecting the steel worktops, fridges, freezers, dishwasher, draining boards and sinks to make sure they are sterilised for safety and hygiene purposes. I sweep the floor so no mess is in the kitchen again for safety reasons. I check the bins to see if they are full, and if they are I empty them. When a dessert cheque comes in, I pick it up and start prepping the dessert and send it out as quickly as possible. Throughout my shift I interact and work closely with my colleagues and head chef, obeying instructions and always communicating in order for team work to be accomplished. At the end of service - I re-do all my cleaning duties and mop the floor. • Joinery: i am currently going through a carpentry and joiner course in ayrshire college which is giving me experience and learning me new skills
