• Strengthened my communication skills with a range of customers, became capable of tailoring their experience to their specific mood/requests
• Learnt quickly to assimilate to a wider range of duties than just serving food, including cleaning windows, overseeing kids’ birthday parties and making drinks and desserts

Waitress – MirchMasala Restaurant, June-August 2023

• I was now less involved in the kitchen but now fully focused on customer service - greeting them, going above and beyond to make them feel welcome, memorising the restaurant's specials and making personal recommendations, swiftly cleaning tables and still remembering to check in on customers

Crew Member – McDonald’s, current

• Being at McDonald’s means being involved in all aspects of the restaurant, implementing customer service skills and being able to mitigate stress/aggression in tense situations, always being available in stressful, busy situations to mop the floor or replace the sweeteners in the McFlurry machine
• Working in hospitality has also furthered my team-building skills and understanding the bigger priorities of the restaurant and customer; learning to be down-to-earth and just focus on contributing is an inimitable quality

Coulsdon Library

• Voluntary role: helped facilitate the Summer Reading Challenge encouraging primary school children to read in their free time, asking them questions about the kind of books they enjoyed and giving them specific recommendations to help boost their reading level, advertised it to passers-by and helped stock the shelves (or complete any other administrative tasks)
• June-August 2023

Quest Primary School 

• Gained teaching assistant experience working as the designated adult to kids with developmental needs or learning difficulties, was informed by specific teacher that their numeracy ability was improved after working with them
• Also was an administrative assistant helping to do research for risks/implications of new curriculums centred around diversity, and stressor toys for children with developmental needs
