  • Provide information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication on medication schedules, side-effects, and interactions.
  • Record accurate data in the patient records to an agreed standard.
  • Communicate with other members of the Hospital including doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, accepting referrals and referring to specialist care if required.
  • Ensure a high standard of clinical practice is maintained by following current best practice, undertaking further training if required and continuing to update clinical knowledge.

COVID-19 Immunizer (WHO) - Emergency Department, Rural Health Centre, Rasool Nagar, Pakistan, (March 2021 – December 2022)

  • Address any concerns the patient may have and ensure that clinical assessment has taken place prior to vaccination.
  • Communicate routine, complex, and sensitive information to patients and/or their relatives and colleagues.
  • Concentration and drawing up of the vaccine from multi-dose vials.
  • Administration of the vaccines to patients who have consented and been assessed, ensuring it is conducted in line with the patient’s current condition.
  • Ensure correct use of equipment, e.g., syringes and needles.
  • Ensure that vaccine batch numbers are appropriately recorded in the patient record.
  • Follow the businesses clinical waste protocols when disposing of syringes and injections.
  • Follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Assist with the monitoring of vaccine and other related stock.
  • Undertake mandatory training and other training relevant to the role.
  • Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of health and safety and security 
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness of workstations and equipment
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation and records utilising I.T. as appropriate and in accordance with the World Health Organisation (WHO)

Pharmacy Assistant - Rana Hospital, Alipur Chattha, Pakistan, (January 2020 - August 2023) 

  • Dispense prescribed medicine to customers following instructions from GPs and Pharmacists.
  • Count tablets, label bottles and compound medications to prepare prescriptions.
  • Carry out admin duties including answering phone calls, receiving prescription orders, operating the till, and restocking the medical stores inventory.
  • Take orders for repeat prescription and dealing with queries from hospitals. Using the computer to keep records up to date.
  • Complete regular inventory checks of over the counter and prescribed medicine.
  • Place orders for additional medications as instructed by the Pharmacist.

  • Sorted the medicines and selected the correct medicines to give out.
