Work experience-

Retail advisor at SHOE ZONE HOUNSLOW, LONDON (26/06/21- Present) 

•      Demonstrated excellent communication and team working skills by ensuring that everything in shop floor runs smoothly by managing optimised cash in tills so that change is always available to customers through regular till checks.  

•      Customer engagement quality as an effective retail assistant- I have developed key influential communication tactics that I am able to engage customers into shopping and persuade them to join email clubs to gain discounts and become regular customers.

•      Able to engage and support vulnerable people in their shopping while maintaining professional demeanour and by listening to what they are looking for and helping them with patience and ease.

•      Leadership, team management quality-gained through running shop floor during key time of the year like-back to school week, New Year’s Eve, boxing day ensuring daily targets are met and shop runs smoothly. Able to run a team of 4 colleagues with ease ensuring no one feels left out and engaging with them in effective working by jotting jobs of the day on the board and assigning them to each of their preferences and lunch breaks first thing in the morning after opening the shop.

•      Attention to key details and Problem solving- as a retail assistant at a shoe shop, I deal with diverse customers every day-kids, women, men, elderly. To respect their views and to ensure they have a good shopping experience I ensure that I deal with customer with compassion and empathy and give them time if they are facing any challenges or difficulties communicating their needs. Alongside, I listen to them carefully if they have any complaints so that I can resolve their queries easily or seek support from my manager for better understanding.

•      Willingness to turn up to work with a positive attitude- had no serious sick leave from work or not turned up at a set time showcases my commitment and resilience towards my work ethics.

Volunteer Shop Assistant British Heart Foundation Hounslow clothing store Hounslow, London (2020-21)

•      Excellent customer service skills and great communicative skills achieved by working in a till and managing customers and have helped them in buying their products efficiently.

•      Volunteering taught that the best way to meet customer needs is to service with a smile along with patience as it helps you to deal with all types of people even if they have some hidden disabilities as if you give them time and don’t panic you can deal with all the upcoming challenges. 

Hobbies and Interests-

      Hindu Society (2023-2024)

•      Treasurer at Hindu society Portsmouth and able to organise, plan and execute fun social events like- garba and Diwali ball (2 of the main Hindu festivals). 

•      Able to take ownership and responsibility of making a concise budget for planning events throughout the year.

•       Flexible enough to take time out my academia and step up to gain more advanced team working and communications skills by working with community and learning more about diverse culture prevalent in society.

•      Passionate about knowing Hinduism more as a part of NHSF Hindu society Portsmouth.
