I am a 30 year old fresh-off-the-boat postgraduate candidate in Law from Sri Lanka, currently based in Dundee, Scotland. 

Like most fortunately unfortunate students immigrating to these lusher parts of the Western world in search of robust further education, I am searching for part time/relief work to pay through my tuition and accommodation fees. 

Although I do not have ‘professional’ experience as far as hospitality, event management & coordination sectors are concerned, I believe that the skills I developed over the years as a legal counsel representing the best interests of various clients in litigation and dispute resolution, client consultation and related liaising I have engaged in with various corporate and civilian clients; not to mention the volunteer and team-work experience I gained having worked with United Nations Sri Lanka and with the Galle Literary Festival Sri Lanka (first as a volunteer and then as a staff member), have equipped me with the necessary tools to successfully execute the duties demanded by a number of positions in the hospitality sector. 

I am proud to say that I belong to the LGBTQIA+ group and that the experience I have had in growing up in a developing country like Sri Lanka as an openly gay man, has instilled a high level of empathy in me, which I intend to fully harness and use to good effect in executing the required duties, if you accept me for a suitable position. 

As a  team-player,  effective communicator, a  quick  learner and a  goal-oriented, committed and humble individual, I believe I could be a valuable addition to your team.
