Naqib Chowdhury

I am a recent graduate from the field of Accounting and Finance. I achieved a First Class with Honours from the University of Plymouth, and I am looking to kickstart my career in the world of finance. The joy in helping others within this field, and bringing a positive impact financially on individuals in my world can be described in the same way doctors feel saving lives. Financial burden and stress is a big player on mental health and knowing I can make a change for someone in that aspect inspires me. Not only am I studying to clear my remaining ACCA qualifications, but I am also looking to obtain a CeMAP qualification also. I have furthered my knowledge of finance by also obtaining a level 4 diploma in Investment Trading and Sales through Amplify’s recognised simulation training.

My most recent role comes in the form of consultancy. I have aided a local business in increasing their efficiency in relation to profitability. I have reduced their wastage costs, shrunk the physical size of the building to increase capacity utilisation as well as bring in new products to boost their sales on a more consistent basis. 

During a 3 year course of Accounting & Finance at Plymouth University, I set out the expectation to succeed. Rightfully so, I came out of the experience with a BA(Hons) First Class which I am extremely proud of. I then went out to achieve a Level 4 diploma in Investment Trading & Sales through Amplify which I achieved a top 10 score from a simulation containing over 100 participants.
