As a qualified counsellor with a diverse professional background, I am embarking on a second career that is dedicated to reducing the loneliness that life’s struggles can bring and facilitating positive change in individuals' lives.

Having recently completed my counselling qualifications, I possess a solid theoretical, integrative foundation and practical experience in various therapeutic approaches. I am dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of ethical practice and continually expanding my knowledge in this field of continuous learning.

I have a unique combination of being self-employed for the last seven years. These skills, including organisation, self-motivation, and communication, combined with my counselling skills; empathy, genuineness and creating a safe therapeutic environment, enables me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and establish a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

During my training, I have gained valuable experience through my placement where I honed my ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and past experiences. I am committed to personal and professional development, and I am currently completing my master’s dissertation into working with women who are experiencing problematic pornography usage. I am enthusiastic about staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices in counselling to enhance the quality of care I provide to my clients.

I am now looking to expand my private practice through EAP work.

I began my private practice earlier this year working with Berkshire Counselling and Psychotherapies, who work from a community building in Wokingham town center. I have a number of regular clients, in person and online. I am attending regular supervision inline with BACP requirements.
