Live and let live- I believe everyone should be treated fairly and with respect, it is a tough world out there.

I like to try new things from time to time, as they say, variety is the spice of life and new experiences help to build personal growth and development.

Staying fit and healthy is important to me and I have enjoyed sports from a young age, namely rugby, F1, athletics and football.

I am currently working as a mortgage and protection adviser on a self-employed basis. I took the self-employed route in April 2023. just when the markets were going topsy turvy, but I am still alive and kicking.

I started my journey in finance working for Natwest in their commercial debt team and built up an understanding of the financial industry quickly. From there I went on to work for a local mortgage firm specialising in the sharp end of the market on self-employed income and adverse credit. 

All in all, I have just shy of 4 years' experience in the financial industry and 2.5 years' experience working as a mortgage and protection adviser.

Even though I am not considered a novice to the industry anymore, I enjoy that I am still constantly learning and improving my level of knowledge around the industry, processes and products.

I studied English at University and have a strong command for the English language. This helps make me an effective communicator and also help explain things in various ways to help my client's understand and meet their requirements. 

Studying English required a lot of ‘out of the box’ thinking and the main role as a financial consultant (in my opinion) is to provide solutions for clients…often requiring this type of thinking.
