                                                        My path to Paediatrics Diabetes was expected. 

It was founded gradually through various life events and subsequently confirmed by clinical experiences during my stay in Pakistan, Ireland and during my speciality training in the U.K. 

I believe that my true calling for paediatrics Diabetes stems from my love for working with children.  I have always believed that children have a certain sense of honesty and sincerity about them that seems to be lost in the rest of us, and they never fail to remind you of that time in your own life marked with innocence.

My Interest in Paediatrics Diabetes slowly & gradually turned into an ambition as I got myself more trained in this area.

I came to Ireland in July 2011 to gain experience & train myself in paediatrics Endocrinology and Diabetes, although I didn’t work in a specialised Endo & diabetes unit, but did learn management of huge spectrum of Paediatrics patients suffering from different Endocrine illnesses, I have been working in a team who were managing with Paediatric diabetes and its complications and I conducted an Audit as well looking into the practice guidelines locally , which led to improvement of the services locally and nationally.

I moved to the UK in August 2018 & started my Paediatric training from 1st of August 2018 at ST4 level, during my SPIN training, I have been able to see more than 100 diabetic patients & managed them as per NICE guidelines, I have done two diabetes audits & published them in the archives of diseases of childhood UK.

I have written GUIDELINE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF A WELL CHILD OR YOUNG PERSON WITH A NEW DIAGNOSIS OF TYPE 1 DIABETES MELLITUS at one of the DGH hospital in east midlands deanery as well.

I have nearly 13 years’ experience in the field of paediatrics; I have finished my General Paeds training with SPIN in Paediatric Diabetes on 31s of Jan 2023.

I have applied for specialist registration & this should be completed by first 2 weeks of Feb 2023.

I believe this post will help me in applying all the knowledge, skills, and attitudes towards my aim of providing best, safe, and standard care to my Patients.
