About Nicholas Ong:
Visual Artist and arts manager with varied experiences in project management, exhibitions, artist management, studio management and creative conceptualisation. Ong has experience in exhibition management and programming, as well as experience in multiple fields including visual arts, film and, music.
Ong has a strong sense of artistry and passion for creative industries, forward thinking, growth and is progress driven, he believes in strong interpersonal communication and openness, especially with regards to project management.
Experience
professional capacity includes having shown his works in exhibitions in singapore and around the region, having public and private works commissioned by commercial organisations and frequently collaborating with artists from differing creative fields. Past experience includes the likes of working with singaporean and international ministries, multi-national companies as well as local SMEs and arts organisations.
As an arts manager, Ong has been the chief programmer at 21 Moonstone; an independent creative studio. As a programmer and project manager, all aspects of execution for programmes are over seen, including but not limited to, audience engagement, community development, client relations, programme development and conceptualisation, as well as creative production and creative personnel management.
Education
Graduated with a Diploma in Fine Arts and a Bachelors in Arts management, Ong has technical education in both creative capacities as well as creative and cultural administrative capacities. Ong has also received certifications in educational coach theory as well as team leadership from his time serving in the Singaporean Military.
