About Nick Hale:
I’ve been in the building trade all my life . Started off as a carpenter. Went back to college to do further qualifications and whilst studying in the evenings worked my way up the management to senior contracts manager . My lovely children came along so I stepped back down to site manager. 2 reasons for that so I could spend more time seeing my kids grow up. 2nd reason I found contracts managing took me too far from what I enjoyed , being onsite planning and sorting out technical issues .Tried retiring last October . Have decided I’m not ready for that yet . I miss the work enviroment I’m looking for the right project that excites me . Yes the money is important but getting a job is more for my mental health . I recon I have got 7 years to manage projects and pass on my wealth of knowledge to anybody who wants it . My skills people management ,problem solving ,technical knowledge, program /planning works/ good communication skill with staff, management, design teams and client .skills with computers basic , never afraid to ask for assistance so not sure if you class my computer skills as a weekness, I look at it as a positive as I recognise my weekness .
i have a cv if wanted plus reference's From previous employers and clients required
Experience
Successfully managing one off projects , numerous project the one I am most proud of is a new oak barn for a commercial client . Building control put the building forward for best small commercial building of the year . This won the regional award , went forward to the national award . now I can’t take all the credit but the fact it was put forward by building control they would have been looking at quality of build. Now that would have been driven by me as site manager
Education
STSTS got 4 years before I have to resit
CSCS gold card expires 2027
