I have 25 years experience within NHS primary roles in GP practice, CCGs, NHS England and the Care Quality Commission.

EXPERIENCE

NHS England Senior Programme Lead - September 2021-Present Day

• Works within the overall strategic objectives, devise, implement and monitor the strategy. Evaluate, interpret,and locally implement best practice.

• Provides overall leadership and management to team.

• Develops and implement qualitative and quantitative measures to determine performance against the organisational strategy.

• Challenges ways of working and persuade, motivate, and influence other senior managers to realign their practice where necessary.

• Personally leads, supports, and contributes to formal negotiations with senior level internal and external stakeholders, to secure the most advantageous arrangements.

• Ensured the securing of value for money, assuring relevant factors such as quality and governance.

• Advised on innovative opportunities and support all departments in their strategies and programmes.

• Overseed the tracking of progress against plans and transition milestones, ensuring appropriate processes are in place to flag issues, risks, and concerns with the relevant stakeholders.

CQC Primary Medical Service (PMS) Inspection Manager - November 2018-September 2021

• Managed the delivery of the PMS inspection programme across the geographical area of responsibility, including regulatory risk.

• Had a sound understanding of regulation, using supportive approaches to drive improvement.

• Ensured consistent, evidence based regulatory judgements are made.

• Managed a quality assurance process to ensure high quality reports.

• Built and maintained strong working relationships with key stakeholders; internally and externally.

• Deputised for Head of Inspection as required.

CQC Integrated Care Manager - July 2017-November 2018

• Built knowledge of the development of integration in health and social care in England.

• Led and project managed thematic work within the commission.

• Project managed work streams undertaken by the Integration Team.

• Encouraged and developed cross directorate working throughout the organisation.

 

CQC Inspection Manager -May 2014-July 2017

• As outlined above.

CQC Inspector - October 2012-May 2014

• Managed portfolio of CQC registered locations and providers.

• Undertook regulatory work including inspections of registered locations.

• Managed enquiries and engagement with providers, stakeholders, and patients.

Thames Valley Primary Care Agency- Head of Contract Performance and Probity. June 2010 - October 2012.

• Responsible for ensuring that robust performance management systems and processes were established and continually developed to ensure that the PCT met itsstatutory duties and delivers the highest level of performance against national and local targets.

• PCT Lead for QOF prepayment and post payment verification.

• Led the performance management of GP, Dental, Ophthalmic and Pharmacy contracts, so that Primary Care Practitioners deliver care of the highest quality.

• Responsible as budget holder for the Contract Performance, Probity and GP appraisal budget.

I am a proficient user of most MS office products, using these effectively to analyse and assimilate information from complex data sets.
