Organic Chemist with a strong background in academia and extensive experience in research

I am a highly skilled Organic Chemist with extensive international research and development experience across academic and industrial settings. Holding a Ph.D. in Chemistry, my expertise lies in leading and collaborating with skilled teams to optimize chemical processes for manufacturing, contributing to enhanced productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. I have published over 5 peer-reviewed papers, presented at international conferences, and demonstrated my commitment to academic excellence. Currently an Assistant Professor at the Police Academy Institute of Forensic Sciences, I specialize in areas such as Supramolecular Chemistry, Photodynamic Therapy, and Molecular Machines. In my previous role at the University of Manchester, I led projects on rotaxane-based superbases and autonomous ratchet design, expecting high-impact publications. My postdoctoral experience at Bilkent National Nanotechnology Research Centre involved contributing to an industrial project on rocket fuel and publishing research on BODIPY-based probes for cancer cells. As a Graduate Researcher at Bilkent University, I contributed to overcoming limitations in cancer treatment through innovative BODIPY compounds. My international exposure includes a summer internship at Northwestern University, contributing to molecular recognition and mechanised molecules research.

I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ihsan Dogramaci Bilkent University, Turkey, with a GPA of 3.73. My doctoral project, "Design, Synthesis, and Characterization of Fluorogenic Probes for Protein Labeling" received funding from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. As a Graduate Scholar, I demonstrated academic excellence throughout my studies, earning a full scholarship for my BSc in Chemistry, where I ranked 7th in my class. My MSc thesis on organic chemistry received high praise from a panel of four professors. My educational journey reflects a strong commitment to research and academic achievement, providing a solid foundation for my contributions to the field of Organic Chemistry.
