Ntombfuthi Precious Shongwe

I am a registered mental health nurse who has years of experience. I am currently working in a PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit) ward known as Melton Suite in Barnsley Kendray Hospital. I have 2 year experience in Mental Health in the UK, but over 10 years in Southern Africa Swaziland. I am a hardworking, attention to detail, and very ambitious nurse who believes in providing care tailored to each individual (individualised care). I believe in team work and that for care to be comprehensive all aspects of health should be considered, and collaboration with different teams/cadres is of importance.

I have been a registered nurse for over a decade in my home country Swaziland, where i have been nursing in out patient departments and also providing in-patient care. I moved to the UK in June 2023 where i began to work at Kendray Psychiatric Hospital at Melton Suite which is a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit.

I have a Diploma in Nursing (from the University of Swaziland), a Bachelors in Nursing Science (from the University of Swaziland) and a masters in Public Health from University of South Africa. I attained my Diploma in 2003, my Bachelors in 2005 and my Public Health in 2015
