In my current role, I provide strategic Data Protection advice and guidance to senior leadership and operational teams across multiple business areas. I lead efforts to embed Data Protection principles into business processes, ensuring compliance with GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. I conduct regular Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and lead investigations into data breaches and ensure lessons learnt are implemented. Additionally, I collaborate with external regulators such as the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. These tasks have given me valuable experience in navigating complex legal frameworks and developing practical, risk-based solutions for compliance.

I have successfully managed and led multidisciplinary teams across business units, legal teams, IT departments, and external partners to ensure data protection requirements are met.I collaborate with various departments to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with evolving data protection regulations. I also worked with business process owners to identify privacy risks and provide actionable advice to mitigate these risks. This experience has strengthened my ability to manage stakeholders effectively, fostering strong relationships with key internal and external parties, including third-party suppliers, regulatory bodies, and internal auditors.

My in-depth understanding of Data Protection Regulatons has allowed me to advise organisations on the complexities of national and international data protection regulations. I am well-versed in managing DPIAs,contract reviews, incidents and breaches, ensuring proactive risk identification and mitigation. I also understand the broader regulatory landscape, which helps to ensure that the organisation complies with all legal frameworks and maintains best practices in data governance.
