About Omair Rashid:

I have been working on major Data Centers, Nuclear, Aviation, Utilities, Rail, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure programmes for over 18 years in Europe and Middle East. My experience in Project Contract Commercial Management has established myself as a leader within teams in advising and then developing programme processes and control mechanisms to support the delivery goal of the programme.

I am experienced in leading the cost and commercial management of construction and engineering projects from pre-construction through to construction handover. My ability to handle projects through strategic procurement, budget management and post award cost management during the construction phase has produced positive results. 

Experience

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a solid track record of leading Working Capital programs that have effectively optimized working capital management for various organizations, resulting in enhanced financial positions and improved business performance. My expertise combined with comprehensive working capital analytics, enables me to identify key trends, patterns, and discrepancies within complex data, allowing for the quantification of opportunities and the formulation of innovative strategies.

I have an intimate understanding of various vertical markets and having successfully collaborated with clients in these areas to drive positive change and achieve strategic objectives. Moreover, my proficiency in Change Management and behavioural change allows me to effectively lead teams and implement change through people.

In my current role as Senior Procurement Manager at Vantage DC, a leading global hyper scale data centre provider, I have successfully managed procurement activities across EMEA, negotiating Master Agreements for Professional Services (MAPs) and identifying potential risks to commercial agreements and supplier performance. My experience in contract management, risk evaluation, and mitigation has resulted in the successful delivery of complex projects while maintaining cost control and adherence to schedules.
