Omid Burgin

Omid Christoph Burgin, Master by the University of California, Los
Angeles (UCLA), is known as a writer, recording engineer, music producer
and educator. Nominated for the Elaine Krown Klein, and the Henry
Mancini Awards, received Scholarships and Fellowships (UCLA), the CNPq
Scholarship in Brazil, and a full Scholarship at the Shanghai University Film
Department with Vancouver Film School (SVFS).
Participated in congresses about musical archives, recording practices,
and Chinese music. The Audio Engineering Society (AES) of Switzerland
organized a special event for him after he was awarded Recording
Engineer of the Year in Brazil.
He works as a professional Screenwriter and Filmmaker in film productions
and documentaries in China. He appeared in local newspapers for his
interest in Guqin, which led to a scholarly publication on Chinese Music, a
cooperation with UNESCO Chair of Transcultural Music Research.
