Owen Arkley

I began copywriting at university as part of an internship, and immediately became engrossed by the variety as well as the ability to help companies of all kinds develop their content. In my role as a Content Delivery Manager for a content writing agency, I gained a strong understanding of key copywriting and editing principles. 

Throughout the course of my two years in this position, I developed experience in a wide range of sectors and formats, though primarily specialised in blog posts and web pages. My clients still use my work to promote their services, with one reporting an increase from 100 organic web traffic views per month to 12,000.

Since the agency's closure in mid-2023, I have been working intermittently as a freelance writer while growing my skills further and searching for a long-term position within a content writing or digital marketing agency.

I have a BA in English Literature & History (First-Class Honours), as well as an MA in History (Merit), both from the University of Lancaster. As essay-based subjects with a lot of variety, I can easily trace my passion for copywriting back to these degrees.
