About Paridhi Maheshwari:
I am a recent Child Psychology Master's graduate with over 1 year of experience working with children with additional and special needs. I am currently working in behaviour management support, which entails monitoring the behaviour of children who have been removed from classes due to disruptive and conduct issues, and attending to those who may have additional needs. I am passionate, driven and eager to build my career in mental health and psychology.
Experience
I have over 1 year of experience working with children and am working in behaviour management support in my current role. This entails monitoring the behaviour of children who have been removed from classes due to disruptive and conduct issues, and attending to those who may have additional needs. This requires building strong and trusting relationships with the children and being able to understand them in order to guide them in an appropriate way that is tailored to their individual needs. I am always aware of the fact that though they may need discipline, they also need someone they can rely on as they may not find this in other areas of their life. Because I am young and and able to relate to the kids, I am often able to be the adult they can approach and confide in if they are ever in turmoil or distress. Due to this, I am also well versed with safeguarding and always put the child's safety first.
Education
As seen through my distinction in my MSc in Applied Child Psychology, I have extensive research based knowledge on the topic of psychology and child mental health, and therefore I understand that every child is moulded into who they become, which is why it is so important to provide the right care during their crucial developmental years. I also have excellent interviewing and analytical skills, as demonstrated through my personal research.
I received a 2.1 in my BSc Psychology with Criminology
