 I am conscientious, reliable, and professional intergrated counselling therapist with experience in adult and children counselling. I am currently working for NORTH EAST COUNSELLING SERVICES in Three GP Practices in the Gateshead area as a PCN Contracted Counsellor. delivering counselling to adults and children via there GP Practice since October 2021. Prior to this contract I was offered a counselling contract via North East Counselling delivering counselling to staff and children in a school in Tynemouth. I was a volunteer counsellor with PLACE2 BE for two years. I am a registered member of B.A.C.P, I passed my proficiency test in February 2020.  I class myself as being organized and can work under pressure. I worked for the NHS for Ten years before going into counselling. Working for the NHs gave me excellent customer service skills as I dealt with the public on a day-on-day basis. Since qualifying in June 2019, I have also done various Online courses to help me in my professional development as an intergrated counsellor. I have  completed the couples training with North East Counselling, and the domestic violence training through Reach. I have attended various workshops that have all been necessary to my personal Development as an intergrated counsellor. And am doing courses to date. 

I am currently working as a PCN Contracted Counsellor for Gateshead PCN Central South, I have acquired a lot of skills during my work history, I am reliable, conscientious, and professional in my approach to work, i am not an accredited counsellor but have acquired the hours that is needed to become accredited, and this is something I am willing to work towards.

 I can organise my own work load, also do an initial assessment on what the client’s needs are then look at how best I can work with the client. We work to a Six session model, but we can offer another six sessions if I feel as a counsellor that this would benefit the client. I have learnt to use EMIS in the GP Practice that I am based in, I make my own appointments, cancel appointments, add comments to clients’ medical notes when required, liase with other members of the GP Practice, when needed. keep the GP, S informed of any information that I feel needs the GP, S Attention.
