Peregrine Vinten

I have just finished being a Client Care Coordinator at Onebright Mental Health. I am highly organised, often balancing several extra-curriculars and jobs simultaneously, and I consistently work hard, shown by my grades. I am able to commit to regular and irregular work schedules and am highly self-motivated, demonstrated by my years of freelancing. I am highly organised and work well in high pressure environments. I have worked across many different internal computer systems and have worked with children so am able to juggle several demands at once. Moreover, my inter-personal skills and communication has come through many years of teaching small and large groups. This also taught me how to take charge within group environments and to know when another person is the best for the job.

On a lighter note, I also play rugby, play the viola in chamber groups, run DnD sessions for a small group of friends and volunteer with Mind.

In my previous position as a Client Care Coordinator, I was constantly on phones for mental health insurance. I was able to take information down and talk people through processes over the phone. I balanced calls from clients, referrers and internal contacts, logging everything and managing a large file caseload. As a Client Care Coordinator, I worked across several internal systems while keeping track of deadlines and inputting new data. I was able to learn and implement my knowledge of Onebright’s processes quickly and efficiently while still able to empathise with the people coming through with mental health issues. I had to be able to use MS Windows and Excel to keep records of exactly who was on my files and where they were in our processes. I worked with a variety of spreadsheets for a register, notes on clients and keeping an ongoing record of what adjustments each client had. 

I finished my Masters in Medieval studies in 2023 with a Merit. This was an interdisciplinary Masters at the University of York, wherein I looked at the Medieval period through historical, literary, art-historical and archaeological lenses, as well as learning several medieval languages, including Latin, Middle and Old English and Old Norse. My final dissertation focussed on the use of alchemy as a metaphor in Middle English poetry between the 13th-15th centuries, and how it was used as part of Christianity and as a tool of racism.
