Peter Hicken

I am a recently relocated British citizen from Canada with an extensive record of client-facing and administrative support services. As a graduate of a Master’s degree in business management from a top 5 ranked business graduate program in North America, it is my ambition to develop a lasting career in the British and larger international hospitality industry.

I have extensive experience working in administrative and client-support roles, including banking, reception, front and back of house, and ops management. I have some exposure to the British hospitality industry during a short stint in reception with the Hoxton before returning to Canada to complete my education. I believe that my experience, temperament, and demeanour make me an ideal candidate for a front-facing, guest relations role in the hospitality industry. I’m passionate about building relationships and possess the composure and charisma to navigate customer interactions with tact, empathy, and efficiency. I take pride in my communication and customer needs discovery skills.

I am also passionate about the range of administrative management facets present in the hospitality industry, namely real estate asset management, marketing, and public relations, and believe that my commercial administrative education offers high growth potential as a prospective candidate. I am confident in my ability to work under pressure, learn and adapt to procedures quickly, and always be resourceful. I am adept in correspondence, scheduling, and events organization. I believe I have the command of communication, public relations and administrative support to quickly become a valuable member of your team and leader in delivering your mission. 

I have 3+ years of client-facing, customer service experience in a range of industries including hotels. I believe that my communication skills are my strongest asset, and I have no doubt I would be able to facilitate the responsibilities required to provide our guests with a memorable stay.

I have a Masters in Business Management which I believe equips me with a great deal of commercial  administrative skills and knowledge relevant to running a hotel. I am passionate about numerous facets of the operations management of hospitality and believe I have a high growth potential to help contribute to the processes and values that uphold your organization's standards.
