About Phil Dixon:
I am actively seeking a new challenge in a senior operational capacity. My experience in the hospitality industry spans more than 20 years, including nine years dedicated to the role of Area Manager. More recently, I have taken on responsibilities overseeing both operational and business development for clients within the music and events sector.
My expertise blends people management, commercial insight, and operational leadership across multi-site environments. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with operators and stakeholders to drive business growth across diverse trading styles, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering guest engagement.
I thrive in roles where entrepreneurial freedom and autonomy are balanced with structured support and process. I am particularly motivated by the opportunity for my leadership to make a positive difference to people within the business.
With a strong emphasis on people, I am proud to have achieved the lowest annualised team turnover rates within the group over several years, supporting the career advancement of many talented team members. My deep passion for guest satisfaction, creating the right atmosphere, and driving sales and marketing initiatives nationally—while seizing opportunities locally—has resulted in numerous record-breaking performances and the successful delivery of company-wide projects at both site and regional levels. I have also led multiple brand-wide initiatives, encouraging collaboration across support centre departments through my organisational skills.
Based in Morley, Leeds, with excellent transport links, I have managed areas across the East Midlands, all regions of Yorkshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, and the North-East during my time as an Area Manager. More recently, I oversaw venues throughout Greater Manchester, Cheshire, and the North-West, and previously operated in Scotland for seven years. My responsibilities have included leading up to 500 team members across various locations and operational styles, with an annual net turnover of up to £20 million.
I am particularly enthusiastic and committed to continue to advance my career within the hospitality and leisure industry. With a genuine passion for the sector resonates with my desire to achieve continued success and growth within the industry.
I offer significant experience and transferable skills through my collaborative leadership style, along with genuine enthusiasm for supporting teams to succeed and prosper in their businesses.
